COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT AT DINGMAN’S

At Dingman’s, we value our relationship with the Omaha community and we feel it’s important that we give back. We select community partners to commit to throughout the year as well as giving to school clubs, sports, and community organizations that may change from year to year. It is also important for us to Volunteer in the community to help out and give our time as well as money.

GIVE BACK 2020

Our new “Give Back” program that we incorporated into our community giving in 2020 is exciting. Omaha has so many amazing non-profit organizations it’s difficult to choose just one.

So, we created our “Give Back” program.

We choose up to three non-profit organizations each quarter and are committed to having one of these organizations each quarter be minority-led while serving a predominant minority community. Each Dingman customer chooses one organization to donate to after their repair by placing a bead in the corresponding jar. We then make a donation to the organization you have chosen. At the end of each quarter, we make a donation to the organizations based on the number of beads collected in their jar.

We love that customers choose the charity of their choice. Our hope is to shine a light on great organizations you may not know about yet.

The non-profit organizations we have supported so far include, Boys and Girls Clubs of the Midlands, Completely Kids, Girls, Inc., Open Door Mission, Food Bank for the Heartland, Saving Grace Perishable Food Rescue, Abide, and Scatter Joy Acres.

Ongoing Partners

We have had a long relationship with Open Door Mission. For many years we have matched donations on both their Hope for the Hungry radiothon and their Kids to Kamp radiothon.

We also sponsor Project Santa as a donation drop off point for the community to bring gifts for the kids Open Door Mission serves.

Dingman’s Collision Center was a collection site for their Stuff-a-truck once a month. They had so much interest that they were able to open a donation site in West Omaha.

Dingman’s brought back the Stuff-a-Truck during COVID-19 in 2020 for a couple of weeks, allowing the community to make contactless donations. The response was overwhelmingly positive.

Because of fantastic community giving, the program was cut short after just a couple of weeks as Open Door Mission ran out of storage for all of the generous donations!
